You're booked for [CALL TIME]

Preview What the call is for, and the two things to bring.

Hey {FIRST NAME},

Your strategy call is booked for [CALL TIME].

Add it to your calendar here, so a shift change doesn't swallow it:

Add it to my calendar[CALENDAR LINK]

The call is with someone from our team. They work with me every day on the Medical Authority System, and they know how we build this for doctors in detail.

The point of the call is to see whether the Medical Authority System fits your practice right now, and if it does, what your first six months would look like.

Two things will make it a lot more useful:

  1. The one action you want your content to drive. Your clinic, your book or your service. A rough answer is fine.
  2. Links to anything you've already posted, even if it's three videos from two years ago.

Over the next few days I'll send you everything you'd normally only hear on the call, so you can walk in with your questions already answered.

Why I stopped telling doctors to do it themselves

Preview I gave that advice for a while. It didn't work.

Hey {FIRST NAME},

When colleagues first asked how I built an audience while working ER shifts, I gave them the usual advice.

Post consistently, learn to edit, study what's working, and reply to every comment.

Most of them tried it for a few weeks and stopped.

They weren't lazy. These are people who got through residency. They stopped because I'd handed them a second job, and they already had one that mattered more.

My own path was the same thing, only longer. I went from zero to 702,000 followers in one year, and today it's more than 1.4 million. But I put in hours of experimenting most doctors simply don't have.

So I flipped it around.

The doctor stays the expert. The team builds the media machine around them.

That's the Medical Authority System. We decide the objective together, you record one interview, the team turns it into content and builds the path from viewer to patient.

You don't need more homework, you need more leverage.

That's what our team will be talking to you about at [CALL TIME].

Doctors sound different when someone's asking

Preview Why we build everything around one interview.

Hey {FIRST NAME},

Most doctors who try content start the same way. They write a script, set up the phone and read it.

It comes out stiff, and they know it, and that's usually the end of it.

We do it differently. Everything starts with an interview.

One of my interviews with a surgeon, next to the OR equipment
One of my interviews with a surgeon, next to the OR equipment

Someone who knows what to ask sits across from you, and you answer the way you'd answer a patient. You're trained to explain things clearly when someone asks. Put a camera on that and it works.

I've done this with a breast surgeon on cancer myths, an ankle surgeon, a surgeon explaining an Achilles repair, a neurologist on migraine and an OBGYN on HRT.

None of them wanted to become creators. They sat down, answered good questions, and the content came out of that.

In the Medical Authority System the questions come from your objective, so every clip already points where you want it to.

On the call, our team will ask what you treat and who you want to reach, and sketch which questions would work for you.

What happens on the call

Preview It's a planning conversation, not a pitch.

Hey {FIRST NAME},

Here's how your call at [CALL TIME] runs, so nothing surprises you.

The first part is about you. What you practise, where, who you'd like to see more of, and what you've tried online so far.

Next, our team will sketch your objective with you, the one action your content has to drive, and what the first six months could look like.

Then, if it looks like a fit, they'll explain how the Medical Authority System works, what it costs, and what we'd need from you.

If it isn't a fit, they'll tell you. Some doctors are better off starting on their own with the 6-Month Physician Brand Roadmap, and our team will say so.

Nobody will pressure you to decide on the call. We take up to 3 new medical professionals a month, and the doctors who do best are the ones who chose this calmly.

Take it somewhere quiet, on a laptop if you can, with the time blocked so nobody pages you halfway through.

Your first 90 days, roughly

Preview What happens in which month.

Hey {FIRST NAME},

Doctors like timelines, so here's an honest one.

Month one

We start with your Custom Personal Brand Diagnostic and your Custom Six-Month Roadmap. Then we set up your studio and recording space, and you sit down for your first guided interview.

Our promise is that your first batch of content is recorded and edited within 30 days of kickoff. If it isn't, month two is on us.

Months two and three

Content goes out across your platforms, and nothing publishes until you've approved it. The Next-Step Engine goes live, with your landing page, your call to action and the DM automation.

You join the Weekly Business & Media Accelerator Calls, and you keep doing your actual job.

Months four to six

We review what's working, double down on it and cut what isn't. That's the Performance Review & Optimization part.

What I won't do is promise you a follower count or a number of new patients by a certain date. Nobody can honestly promise that, and we don't.

What we promise is the work, done properly and on schedule.

Jeff

P.S. Tomorrow: the time question, with real numbers.

"I don't have time for this"

Preview Here's what your week would actually look like.

Hey {FIRST NAME},

If you're working 50 or 60 hours a week, the first question is fair. Where does this fit?

Here's what we need from you, in our own words.

  • Show up.
  • Talk about what you know.
  • Review and approve.
  • Go back to being the doctor.

Showing up means recording sessions, where you're asked questions and answer them. No scripts to write, because Content Strategy & Scriptwriting is our job.

Reviewing means looking at what we've made and saying yes, no or change this.

Everything else is the team's job. Editing and publishing across platforms, captions, the landing page, the DM automation, and someone keeping an eye on your comments and messages.

Compare that with the alternative most doctors try, which is a few hours every evening learning tools they'll never use anywhere else.

If your schedule is unusual, nights or rotating shifts or call weeks, tell our team on the call. Recording sessions get planned around it.

Nothing goes out without your yes

Preview On protecting the reputation you've built.

Hey {FIRST NAME},

A lot of physicians tell our team, sometimes only near the end of the call, that the real worry isn't time.

It's their reputation.

You've spent years earning the trust of colleagues and patients. One clip that sounds wrong, or one caption that oversimplifies, feels like a big risk.

I take that seriously. I work in a hospital and teach at UBC, and I don't want to see a colleague's name on something sloppy either.

So here's how we handle it.

Nothing publishes under your name until you approve it. That's the first half of what we call the Approval Promise, and it applies to every clip and every caption.

The content itself is you explaining your own field, the way you'd explain it in clinic. We don't put you in trends or skits, and we don't ask for hot takes.

And the editorial support is there to catch tone, accuracy and wording before anything reaches your review.

If there's something specific to your field or your hospital's media policy, bring it up on the call. Our team would much rather plan around it at the start.

Five specialists, one format

Preview What doctors on my channel actually did.

Hey {FIRST NAME},

I don't have glossy client case studies to send you, and I'm not going to invent any.

What I can show you is the format itself, working with real specialists on my own channels.

The breast surgeon

Sat down with me to correct common cancer myths, answering the questions patients bring into clinic every week.

The neurologist

Dr. Eli Sader taught a full live session on headache and migraine for my Medical Skool community.

The OBGYN

Dr. Jordan Emont ran a live webinar on perimenopause, menopause and HRT, including who shouldn't take it.

The HRT session with Dr. Jordan Emont
The HRT session with Dr. Jordan Emont

The street interviews

I asked doctors what they wish everyone knew. That video has more than 119,000 views.

None of these doctors filmed daily, edited anything or learned an algorithm. They showed up and talked about what they know.

The Medical Authority System puts that same format to work for you, with your objective behind it and your next step at the end of every video.

Views don't book appointments

Preview So where does a viewer actually go?

Hey {FIRST NAME},

A million views feels exciting.

I get more than a million views every 48 hours across my channels, so I can tell you from experience that views on their own don't fill a clinic.

What fills a clinic is a viewer who trusts you and knows exactly what to do next.

That's why the Medical Authority System has Funnel & DM Automation built in, and why your Custom Six-Month Roadmap starts with your objective instead of a posting schedule.

In practice it works like this:

  • Every video ends with one call to action.
  • That call to action goes to one page, built for the people watching you.
  • When someone comments or sends a DM, the automation answers and hands them the same next step.

If your objective is your clinic, the next step might be booking a consult. For a book it's the order page, and for a program it's the sign-up.

On the call, our team will ask what your next step should be. If you don't have one yet, that's one of the first things we'd build.

What it costs, before you ask

Preview I'd rather you hear the number now.

Hey {FIRST NAME},

I'd rather you didn't walk into the call wondering about price, so here's the number.

The Medical Authority System is $15,000 for the six months, or 6 payments of $2,750.

That covers all 12 parts, from the Custom Personal Brand Diagnostic through to the Performance Review & Optimization, plus the studio setup, editing and publishing across platforms, the funnel and DM automation, and six months of direct strategy support.

A simple way to look at it: start with what one new patient, client or book reader is worth to you. Then compare that with what it would cost to hire a strategist, a scriptwriter, an editor, a social media manager and someone for the funnel separately, and to manage all five.

For some doctors the numbers clearly work. For others it's too early, and our team will tell you that on the call.

And the Approval Promise applies either way. Nothing publishes without your approval, and if your first batch isn't recorded and edited within 30 days of kickoff, month two is on us.

who this is really for

Preview And who it isn't for.

Hey {FIRST NAME},

I want to be clear about who does well with this.

It's a fit if you have something worth pointing people to, like a clinic, a book, a product or a practice. It's a fit if you're happy to sit down and talk about your field, and if you'd rather approve content than make it.

It isn't a fit if you want guaranteed follower, patient or business numbers. Nobody can honestly promise those.

It's also not a fit if you want to do every part yourself. That's a perfectly good choice, and the 6-Month Physician Brand Roadmap is built for it.

Something people say about how I teach might help you decide whether you'd enjoy working with us.

In my Medical Skool community, Mark Abraham called me a wonderful, inspiring teacher with outstanding medical guests. Jen Pewsey said I'm a genuine and inclusive host, and Heidi Von Stein said she values the evidence-based information made accessible to the public.

That's the standard we hold the content to. Clear and accurate, and something you'd be proud to have your name on.

Jeff

P.S. Those reviews are from members of my health community, not from Medical Authority System clients. I'd rather show you the difference than blur it.

Three things for tomorrow's call

Preview Five minutes tonight, and the call is twice as useful.

Hey {FIRST NAME},

Your call is at [CALL TIME].

To get a real plan out of it, have these ready:

  1. Your objective. The one thing you want a viewer to do after watching you.
  2. Your audience. Who you'd like to see more of in your clinic or practice, as specifically as you can.
  3. Your constraints. Your schedule, any hospital or practice media rules, and anything you won't do on camera.

If you've posted anything before, have the links open too.

And if something's come up and you need a different time, move it here instead of skipping it: [CALENDAR LINK]
